Light a Candle
Hi my name is Courtney Raymond, and Mike was my older brother. I just wanted to take a moment to remember him and all he was. He did this for my mom when she died and now it has come upon me to do for him. This boy was very special, he grew up in Corunna Michigan untill January 2010 when our family decided to move for our mom's cancer treatments out to Minnesota. He was an active little boy who cause much grief but at the same time His smile brought light to all who saw it. He loved sports, especially football. He was a kind guy and cared for others. He first fell in love at the age of 16 to his high school sweet heart, my best friend, and he died still loving her. He had just finished his 3rd semester at college for criminal justice. His goal was to be a fire fighter, and I must tell you he would have been a good one! He was obsessed with looking good, and working out. He believed in a God that saved, but came to terms that God didn't save everyone after Mom's death. His teen years were, well what can I say, wild; but he behaved himself for the most part. He did part time modeling under a fake name that he would come back from the grave and kill me if I gave out, but he enjoyed it. Life wansn't the easiest for him, but he made the best of it, always smiling and trying! He was a very determined guy who had to understand and be able to do something he set his heart to. He wansn't one to give up.
If there is one think I want to leave as Mike's legacy it is his love for music. He could sing with the best of them, he played almost any instrument, yet he kept it hidden from most the world. I hope one day to publish a few of his songs, so keep your ears open in case you ever come across one of his songs. I love you Mike, and wish you hadn't gone away! You'll always be in our hearts, RIP Mike. Love always, your sister for ever,
